Last updated: 2026-08-03 · Effective: 2026-10-01
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the data-driven life analysis service CODIX (the "Service") provided by 코딕스(CODIX) (the "Company"), as well as the rights, duties, and responsibilities of the Company and its members.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the data analysis based on Saju, Western, and Vedic astrology, AI consultation, chart storage, and all related supplementary services provided by the Company.
- "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and entered into a service agreement with the Company.
- "Paid Service" means a service used by members upon payment of a fee (such as the Basic or Pro plan).
- "Birth Information" means the date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, and other information entered by members for chart analysis.
- ‘Non-member’ means a person who uses part of the Service through a compatibility invitation link without creating an account.
Article 3 (Effect and Modification of Terms)
- These Terms apply to all members who wish to use the Service.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law. Amendments will be announced within the Service at least 7 days before the effective date, with the effective date and reason for amendment specified. Changes unfavorable to members will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
- Members who do not agree to amended Terms may terminate the service agreement. Continued use of the Service after the effective date will be deemed consent to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Membership and Account Management)
- Membership is established via email/password sign-up or social login through external authentication providers (Google, Kakao, etc.).
- Members must provide accurate information at sign-up and update it without delay if it changes.
- Members may not transfer or lend their account credentials (email, password) to third parties; any resulting damages are borne by the member.
- Members may request withdrawal at any time within the Service, and the Company will process the request promptly in accordance with applicable law.
Article 5 (Provision of the Service)
- The Company provides members with the following services.
- Birth chart calculation and analysis based on Saju, Western astrology, and Vedic astrology
- AI-based integrated consultation and insights
- Multi-profile registration and relationship analysis
- Daily transit and timing analysis
- Other supplementary services determined by the Company
- The Service is provided 24/7 in principle, but may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, failures, force majeure, or other unavoidable causes.
Article 6 (Paid Services and Payment)
- Paid services offered by the Company are divided into subscription services (Basic, Pro), which renew automatically each month, and question credits (one-time purchases), for which a number of uses is purchased in advance. Question credits do not renew automatically.
- The price, included number of uses, features, and usage limits of paid services are as set out on the pricing page within the Service.
- Displayed prices for subscription services in Korean won (KRW) are inclusive of value-added tax (VAT). For payments in a foreign currency, applicable taxes are handled in accordance with the tax laws of the relevant country.
- Payment for subscription services is processed as a monthly recurring charge via a billing key through a payment gateway (PortOne in Korea, Dodo Payments abroad) and is automatically billed each month to the payment method registered by the Member.
- Question credits are charged once at the time of purchase and are valid for the validity period set and disclosed by the Company (currently 90 days) from the date they are granted. Unused question credits expire after the validity period, and credits are consumed in order of earliest expiry. Question credits may not be transferred to others or converted to cash on demand; this does not affect refunds of unused credits under the Refund Policy.
- If there is a change to the payment amount, the Company will notify Members at least 30 days before the effective date.
Article 7 (Subscription Renewal and Cancellation)
- Paid subscriptions automatically renew each month and will be extended on the same terms unless cancelled before the next billing date.
- Members may cancel their subscription at any time on the in-service account page. Upon cancellation, no charges will be made from the next billing date, and paid features remain available until the end of the current billing cycle.
- If payment fails three or more consecutive times, the subscription will automatically expire and the plan will revert to Free.
- When a plan is upgraded to a higher tier, only the prorated difference for the remaining billing period is charged immediately; the next billing date stays unchanged, and the higher plan's regular price is charged from that date.
- When the plan is downgraded, profiles exceeding the new plan's chart limit are automatically locked. They are immediately restored upon resubscription.
Article 8 (Refunds)
Details concerning refunds are governed by the separate Refund Policy.
Article 9 (Member Obligations)
Members shall not engage in the following.
- Misappropriating others' information
- Abnormal use of the Service or unauthorized access through automated means
- Reproducing, distributing, or commercially using information obtained through the Service without the Company's prior consent
- Any act that violates applicable law or these Terms
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- Analysis results and AI responses provided by the Company are pattern descriptions and reference information based on data; they do not assert or guarantee the future.
- This Service does not replace important decisions or professional consultation regarding medical, legal, financial, career, or interpersonal matters. The Company is not liable for damages arising from decisions made solely based on the results of this Service.
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, member fault, or failures of external services (payment, authentication, AI model providers, etc.).
Article 11 (Content and Intellectual Property)
- All content, interface design, and analysis algorithms included in the Service are the intellectual property of the Company or rightful holders.
- Rights to the birth information and conversation content entered by members belong to the members. However, the Company may use them within the scope necessary for service provision and quality improvement.
- Rights to reviews and other content written and posted by members within the Service belong to the members. For the operation, presentation, and promotion of the Service, the Company may post, reproduce, and display such content within the Service and on channels operated by the Company, with the member's display name masked so that only its first character remains. The Company may correct typographical errors and adjust length without altering the meaning of the content.
- Members may at any time request that their posted content be taken down, and the Company shall comply without delay. Rewards already granted for that content are not reclaimed when it is taken down.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
- These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute related to use of the Service, the Company and the member shall resolve it in good faith through consultation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute may be brought to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
- However, the protections afforded to a Member as a consumer under the mandatory provisions of their country of habitual residence are not excluded by this Article.
Article 13 (Fair Use Policy)
- Where the Company offers a service for a particular paid tier described as “unlimited” or in comparable terms, such service is premised on ordinary, non-automated use by an individual Member.
- To ensure stable operation of the Service, to protect other Members’ access, and to prevent abuse such as automated access, bulk requests, or resale, the Company may apply reasonable fair-use limits. The specific limits and criteria are published on the pricing information or help pages within the Service and are clearly communicated so that Members can review them at any time.
- Where a Member’s use significantly exceeds the scope of ordinary individual use or reasonably appears to constitute automation or abuse, the Company may, after notifying the Member, take necessary measures such as rate-limiting or temporarily suspending the relevant use. Even in such cases, the Company will not unreasonably restrict legitimate individual use.
- If the Company changes the fair-use limits, it will give advance notice of the changes and their effective date.
Article 14 (Minors and Eligibility)
- Members must be at least 14 years of age. A Member who is a minor must use the Service with the consent of a legal guardian, and any paid purchase is premised on such consent having been obtained.
- The Company may take measures to verify a Member’s age or a legal guardian’s consent in accordance with applicable law.
- Non-members who respond to a compatibility invitation must also be at least 14 years old, and the Company verifies this from the date of birth entered. Where the applicable age in the country of residence is higher, or where the Company applies a higher age based on the country of access, the feature may not be used until the age shown on the invitation screen is reached.
Article 15 (Compatibility Invitation Service)
- A member may create a compatibility invitation link and send it to a non-member. Only one person may respond to each link.
- When a non-member responds, the display name they entered and the compatibility analysis are stored in the inviting member's conversation history. Where the respondent consents to storage, their birth information is stored as well. The inviting member's display name and the compatibility analysis are shown to the responding non-member.
- A member may not use a respondent's information for any purpose other than compatibility and consultation, nor disclose or redistribute it to third parties. The Company restricts public sharing of compatibility conversations.
- Articles 9 (Member Obligations), 10 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law) apply equally to non-members who respond.
- Persons under 14 may not respond to a compatibility invitation. Where the applicable age in the country of residence is higher, or where the Company applies a higher age based on the country of access, the feature may not be used until the age shown on the invitation screen is reached.
- The Company may apply reasonable limits to the number of links issued and the volume of responses processed in order to operate the Service reliably and prevent abuse, and may temporarily suspend this feature where abuse is identified or operating costs rise sharply.
- A responding non-member may request deletion of their information at any time. Upon such a request, the analysis and conversation relating to that non-member are also deleted from the inviting member's account.
Article 16 (Referral and Invitation Rewards)
- A member may invite new users through their referral link or compatibility invitation link. Where an invitation is established, both the referring member and the new member receive question credits. The number of credits granted is as posted on the information pages within the Service.
- Rewards are granted only where all of the following are met: (i) the account is newly created (users who already hold an account are not eligible); (ii) email verification is completed; and (iii) sign-up takes place in the same browser in which the invitation link was opened. Invitation information is retained in that browser for a limited period, after which no referral relationship is established.
- The validity period and the expiry and transfer restrictions set out in Article 6(5) apply equally to question credits granted as rewards.
- To prevent improper payouts, the Company may set a limit on rewards granted per referring member over a given period. Where the limit is exceeded, rewards may not be granted to the new member either during that period, and payout may be deferred to the following period. The applicable limit is posted on the information pages within the Service.
- The Company may reclaim or deduct rewards only where they were obtained by the following improper means: (i) creating multiple accounts to refer oneself; (ii) repeating sign-up or verification through automated means; (iii) signing up using another person's information; or (iv) otherwise circumventing the reward conditions by comparable means. Before reclaiming, the Company notifies the member of the reason and gives them an opportunity to respond. Reclaim and deduction apply only to unused question credits granted as rewards and never to question credits the member purchased. Reclaim may be exercised only within six months of the date the reward was granted.
Supplementary Provisions
- These Terms take effect on 2026-10-01.
- Article 11(3) and Article 11(4) (posting and use of member reviews) take effect on 2026-07-28.
